How I Work: A Two-Phase Approach

Phase 1: Top-Down Techniques

In the early stages of therapy, I help you find emotional clarity and a sense of safety. Using top-down approaches, we engage the thinking brain to explore your story, build insight, and regulate emotions. This foundational phase strengthens self-awareness and trust.

Phase 2: Bottom-Up Techniques

Once you're feeling more grounded, we may gently begin working with body-based experiences. Bottom-up approaches help you process trauma that lives in the body, reconnect with your emotional world, and heal in ways that talking alone may not reach. We go at your pace, with respect and care.
